Smolensk Sweets

Smolensk Sweets was a renowned gastronomic brand in the 18th and 19th centuries. Famous for their candied fruits served at the table of Russian emperors such as Catherine the Great, Paul I, and Alexander I, they gained international recognition. Showcased at World Expositions in London (1851) and Paris (1867), they received a bronze medal for originality in flavor. In 1882, they were honored with a Gold Medal at the All-Russian Art and Industry Exhibition. However, production ceased towards the end of the 19th century following the death of the manufacturer.

Revived in Smolensk since 2018, these appetizing slices, reminiscent of amber chunks and made from select fresh apples, will delight even the most discerning sweet connoisseurs! No sweet tooth can resist Catherine the Great’s favorite pear sweets, which the Empress enjoyed before sleep with wine or milk. The variety of flavors in our assortments, combined with the unique taste of mint, makes for a perfect gift. The distinctive treat is complemented by stylish packaging – a wooden box recreated from 18th-century historical data.
