The museum is located in the old Icon Sloboda of Sergiev Posad. It continues the traditional activities of the residents and introduces visitors to icon painting, Bogorodsk carving—creating toys and sculptures, pyrography painting, and matryoshka painting. Traditional folk crafts make wonderful gifts for holidays: name days, birthdays, and Orthodox holidays. The museum welcomes guests, acquaints them with the history and shrines of the Radonezh land, and the places where folk crafts thrive. Interactive programs introduce traditional folk crafts, and at traditional gatherings, they create toys for Christmas, Easter, Trinity, and Maslenitsa.
