Svetlana Gruzdova is a Russian artist, born on January 29, 1969, in Belev, Tula region. From 1980 to 2008, she lived and worked in Smolensk and currently resides in Moscow.

Svetlana is a professional artist and graduated from the faculty of graphic arts at Smolensk State University. For 14 years, she was the head of the art and decoration workshop at the Smolensk State Drama Theatre. Gruzdova is a theatrical artist, decorator, and prop maker.

In the theatre, she developed a unique technique unmatched in the world. This technique combines ancient and modern technologies, which she named ANGELYUR. It is a synthesis of papier-mâché, fabric, cardboard, metal, wood, lace, multiple types of glues and paints. The creation of the dolls uses entirely eco-friendly materials. The technique is complex and multi-stage (10 stages), with its secret kept confidential. Master Gruzdova has been creating dolls for 18 years.

Svetlana is a member of the Moscow Chamber of Crafts.
